My Wife & I did an equipment check dive at Troy today in preparation for our week in Key Largo (leaving Sunday).

Just wanted to give you a report on conditions:

PERFECT...

No one there.
Vis 100'+
Clear down the run all the way past the old wreck.
Clear water extends under the river water out past the bouys.
Clear skys, temps 85 water 71.

The view from the bottom at 65-70 feet, looking back up thru the trees, watching light clouds drift by, was fantastic. We probably hung there 10 minutes just watching the sky.

Checked out all our gear changes, everything is ready to roll.
Don't get between me & Key Largo Sunday, I might just blow you off the road. I am ready to get wet & salty..

Dive safe, we're out-a-here....

I sitll haven't been to Troy yet, as much time as I used to spend in cave country you'd think I would have.

Have you been to Royal yet? Its a nice night dive.

Troy is a nice dive. You were lucky to have it all to yourselves.

Night dive at Royal- maybe an impromptu SB dive for next Friday or Saturday night? Whaddya think? I have never done a night dive and REALLY want to. Royal is about 45 mins from my house!:mean:

I'd like to but I can't go diving this month as I am saving money for my cruise in 2 weeks and for my trip to see family during the holidays. Sorry. When I get up that way to dive I'll let you know.

Wendy,
No, I haven't been there yet.

Bill,
8-10 feet out over the wreck.
water is up, only two steps dry on platform.

Kurt,
we will be driving back Sat. that might be a good rinse for our equipment. lol
