I wear mine on my right wrist, so I can watch it during my ascent. Left hand has BC deflator.

Ditto, light, compass and inflator are left hand jobs. Anything else is a convolution :D

:lurk:

Right hand.

Forget all the scooter nonsense you hear about (like .00000027% of divers scooter) If you gotta get your buddy to the surface you're gonna be face to face woking his inflator with your right hand - you'll want your depth gauge in your grill to controll a slow ascent.

Also - what bachelor #1 said... controlling your own ascent. Left on your inflator, right on your Depth gauge.

Right hand always.

Is it really that big a deal? I say wear it on your non dominant hand, the one that you would normally wear a wrist watch on. Since you are used to a watch on that arm, it makes sense that it would be more comfortable for you that way.

Just because your inflator hose is on the left side of the BC doesn't mean you can't reach accross with your right hand to use it. Most BC's have dump valves in other places that would allow you to vent just as easily as using the hose. Unless you are a BRAND NEW diver, you don't hang onto your inflator hose all the time anyway. Even durring an ascent you only grab it to vent for a second, then let go.

I'm sorry for sounding harsh, but geez.....it amazes me that people feel the need to ask a question about something like this, in fear of doing it "the wrong way". Just relax, go dive and let some good ol' common sense prevail. I'll stop now before I start an entire new thread.

for me it is...i don't diddlee on the NEMO, but my DIVE RITE PLUS beeps everytime i dump - when i extend my my arm to put my hose as high as possible, my DIVE RITE figures it's ALL OF ME rising that fast and starts beeping about RAPID ASCENT. keeping it on my right arm makes for a nice quiet dive!

Well I guess I am the odd ball. Iam a lefty. I do too much grabbing and sticking my right hand in too many things. especially when its lobster season!
