I have been having computer problems a lot lately and my friend sent me an article he saw in PC MAG on CyberDefender's LiveTech.

It's a little pricey but i think it might be worth it since i am not as good at fixing computer problems as cameras . . . I've been having a lot of them lately too and when you subscribe to the service apparently "they'll give your computer an initial diagnostic and fix any problems found. Then any time you need tech help, day or night, you can call on them. They'll get your printer installed, clean up pesky malware problems, optimize your PC's performance, and more…"

Anyone have this service or one like it? Any thoughts?

Hi OnTheLaw - This Livetech cyberdefender sounds interesting!!

I found the link to the PC Mag article here:

CyberDefender's LiveTech Service Fixes Tech Troubles | News & Opinion | PCMag.com

I have been happy with cyberdefender antivirus so I would assume their service is safe and good.

The PC Mag review was helpful, and the link to the source is:

CyberDefender | LiveTech Support. Our U.S. technicians repair crashes, speed, performance, and remove security threats such as viruses, spyware, and malware

You might also check into local services, there's people all over running small businesses doing this sort of thing and they could actually come in person when needed. (I have at least 2 friends running businesses like this.) Not sure how the price would compare.

The trick of course is finding the folks who are really good at it, which a service like LiveTech may - or may not - take care of. (Kinda like "it's the instructor that matters. ) I don't know anything about LiveTech , but services like Geek Squad offered by chain stores seem to get rather mixed reviews.
