is there a website that compares various computers? i've looked on different company websites, but of course they only compare their own products. i've looked on scubadiving.com, and while they have descriptions, i couldn't find any direct comparisons. scubatoys has lots of models, but no side-by-sides. i guess i'm thinking of the kind of thing consumer reports puts together about vacuum cleaners or whatever. any ideas?

i appreciate the response, mike, but as i said i read some of their articles. i was hoping for more of a 'different computers down the side, different features across the top, checkmarks if that computer has that feature' kind of thing. any ideas?

Scubadiving Magazine does some comparisons....

However, on a lot of their revies on other euqipment I think that
they are biased towards their paying advertisers.....

anyway.... check out http://www.scubadiving.com/diving/dive_computers
I don't think they're biased towards their paying advertisers as a matter of course.

I think the reviewers are just dumb.

the second type is exactly what i was looking for! thanks! if you find any others with other models, let me know.
