Did two dives on the Yukon today and finished up our Advanced class.

Good dives, 97' and 80' , little chilly down there, about 54. Vis wasn't too bad, 20' for so.

I learned bouyancy control the most I think. Navigation was pretty straight forward for me.

I learned that even at 97' I wasn't narc'd yet.

The Yukon is a pretty interesting site, we didn't penetrate it, but swam around the outside of the hull.

I noticed some hypervigilance a couple years ago when I hit about 110 feet, but felt anxious, not silly or what I suspected to be "narcosis." This year, at 133 feet, I felt it. I noticed I felt slow, and when I reached for my light...ALWAYS in the same place...I fumbled and it took a couple of tries to get it out. And I thought..."Hmm..I'm narced." Not a fun feeling, really. Congrats on AOW!

you never know exactly how the high ppn2 will affect you, somedays you wont notice it, some days youll feel great, some days youll feel like your going to die, dont let it come to that!

One guy felt exactly like that, like he couldnt get air and was going to die. He kept his head though, didn't bolt up, signaled that he wasn't ok and slowly made his way up the line with a DM.

It's called the "Dark Narc" (Paranoid Narcosis), probably in conjunction with Carbon Dioxide retention. Happened to me a year ago on the Eureka Oil Rig at 150 feet, working hard to stay within the Rig Structure in strong upwelling, downwelling & side- to-side current: a real washing-machine down there. That was the first and last time I'll ever do Deep Air here in cold home waters. . .
