I am looking for a cmpact UW-camera but dpn't know which.

I have been looking at the Canon SD980 IS / IXUS 200 IS and Sony DSC-WX5.
Both 24mm wide angle and Ikelite housing.

The flash seems completely covered on the Canon housing though (Underwater Housing for Canon Digital Camera) Anyone seen or tried this camera and can confirm that?

The flash seems less covered on the Sony (Underwater Housing for Sony Digital Cameras)

Any other suggestions?

Compact size:
Camera: Canon G12/12 or S90/95
Housing: Canon OEM (200$) or Ikelite (600$) or Patima/FIX/RecSea (1100$)

Almost DSLR size:
Olympus E-PL1 with Olympus housing (excellent price)

I am not sure what your budget is, but might I suggest the Sony NEX-5 (review here: Sony Alpha NEX-5 Digital Camera - Full Review - The Imaging Resource!) with Nauticam housing? I recently purchase this setup myself and I am loving it! The Nauticam housing is truly a thing of beauty. There are a few other manufacturers making a housing for the NEX-5 (10Bar, Aquatica, Acquapazza) but I'm not sure what they are like.

I believe Phil Rudin wrote a review of the NEX-5/Nauticam setup back in December(?) which you may find useful.
