Dr. Bill, I don't know what you mean by gently lapping waves but when we were there they were crashing up to near the middle set of stairs! TeqP and I did one dive but Marian decided to pass after watching an instructor get a ride in the Maytag and his two students get knocked around pretty good. She also decided since we were not going to dive, we may as well take the early ferry home and get something else done.

I’m glad Tina and Sean were able to get in a few dives, conditions must have calmed down a bit. Nice pictures Sean! How did your other buddy do?

Dr. Bill, Since there were no students when TeqP and I dived, I decided to explore the sand flats and see if we see anything cool. Not much but I did see several very large Calico Bass, the biggest I’ve seen an a long time, just sort of nesting in small outcroppings of grass. There were maybe a dozen of these monster Calicos, each in it’s own nest. Are they actually nesting or is this behavior normal? Due to the roughness of the exits, I left the video onshore so I don’t have any tape. We plan on returning next weekend to tape these behemoth Calicos.

Dave... I was just teasing you. Note the quotes. No one saw me get in the water (because I was too smart for that!).

Paradicio and ScooterBlenny, I can't wait for my next PB&J. I never make those for myself (because if I kept peanut butter here at the house, I'd eat it all right out of the jar).

Saw my housemate and her husband off on the boat at 1:00. Looks like they may raise two red flags instead of one later today.

Hey Dave,

Ron was an awesome dive buddy! Always close by, good buoyancy control, and very attentive. I'd dive with him again any time!

That's good to know! I'm gald you three were able to sneak in between set to dive. The new was showing breakers in Avalon harbor this morning!

Teamcasa:
TeqP, It was fun diving with you, to bad conditions cut us short. Lets do it again.
Dave,

I had a good time. Thanks for letting me tag along on the dive. Wish we had more dives, but that will have to wait until next time.

We have decided to try again next Saturday, still willing?

I'll warn the Sheriff that you are about to invade the island again.

Hmm.. I need to test out a new rig... boat... or island... boat... or island....

I can't make it this weekend, heading out on a buddy's boat instead. I hope you get better conditions this time! :)

Change in plans, we are going Sunday instead.
