I am looking for some info on diving the Comal River. Where to dive and the directions. You can PM me or reply here. Many thanks in advance!

Dee:Sounds like a possible Swampers trip!
We have not dove the river in some time. They are trying to protect the wild rice (only place it grows) and a blind salamander. The river has almost been taken over by elephant ears and hydrilla because of this. There are a few spots left you can dive, but where you use to be able to go from the falls by Joes Crab Shack to the dam at Rio vista park is almost impassable. The recent floods 98 and 02 have filled the river with gravel & caliche runoff from the construction at the University. It is shallow and has some sand bars. We still enjoy the river but it ain't what it use to be. Let's go diving!Blowin Da Bubbl:Pices went this past weekend . You could contact them here in Austin as well.
I would like to get in some diving there as well as the San Marcus river.
