What is the coldest temperature you've gone diving in with just a wetsuit??

I've done 38 degrees in a 7mm farmer john.

We did ice dives this year and two of the divers with us did wetsuits in 34 degree and 32 degree water (different dives).

well if your the Lorie I think you are, Im sure you know what the water temp was yesterday, as my dive buddy was your hubby.

If your not that lorie, im sorry and it was 36F on saturday when we took a dive.

Greetings Lorie and welcome to SB! I have been in some cold water whilest diving wet.
I have assisted in a Deep Dive for ADV OW last April. Air temps were in the 60's water temps in the low 40's. When we did our 100' dive it was 35-36º and I will not lie it was cold. If it been a long planned dive I would have done it in my dry suit. Cold water is nothing to take for granted! It can bring about free-flows, and hypothermia very quickly. When properly prepared , dive planned for cold diving procedures cold water can be awesome! I have found that I love the cold stuff but it does take specific attention to planning dives. Being tough is not enough, there are reasons to plan your dive for an extra 10' on the RDP. Take the extra time to prepare your gear, exposure protection, and prepare your cold water diving skills. Extra attention to free-flow training. This is very important and the most common in water temps below 40º and I have witnessed several as well as had a few my self. When handled properly it is no big deal but you need to train to handle it correctly. Another great reason to continue training and get involved with a local dive club. It is good to dive as much as you can to gain experience and comfort in your local waters.
I have found that my local diving to be mostly cold but incredibly awesome!
Welcome to SB you will find many cold water lovers here! Please keep us posted on your progress. Safe diving and good luck!
CamG Keep diving....keep training....keep learning!

What was the coldest water temp you dived in with a wetsuit, after which you happily and cheerfully looked forward to making at least two more dives that day - because your exposure protection was plenty warm enough for you and you were not at all uncomfortable - and what kind of wetsuit was it?
