Cold water diving at Pennyroyal Feb. 10th

I'm trying to put together a dive at Pennyroyal (Hopkinsville, KY) for Sun. Feb.10th (bring your S.O. If they'll go, for a pre- Valentine's day dive). It's still in the planning stages right now & am trying to get a head count. Right now there's myself, & 2 others that are planning on going, but need a minimum of 4 for the quarry to be opened. I will be calling the quarry in a week to set things up. Any hardy & adventurous (aka. Crazy) souls out here interested? :14:

Talked to Kris Tapp today. The quarry will be opened at 10:00am.

Looks like it's going to be interesting for Sun. I've seen that the highs are supposed to be anywhere between 28- 35 degrees. Brrrrrrrr......:11: It'll be my luck, I'll have icicles hanging off of me after surfacing.

Yep, I'm still planning on being there myself. I will have a small portable propane heater with me that can be set up in the changing shed for some warmth, can't say how much though. I can see where I'll have icicles hanging off my drysuit tomorrow. Wetsuit..... I have to admit, you're a brave soul. I still have to get my gear together & pick my doubles up from the shop today. See ya there.

p.s. I'll be driving an older, silver Toyota RAV4 with dive flags on the front plate & in the windows.

hope everyone had a good time, was wanting to go and help with "Surface" ops but had Guard Drill this weekend. Hope to meet some of you all soon.
