Cocos Island Discount Flier.jpg
Turtle Island Restoration Network is looking for research volunteers for our diving expedition to study, photograph, and tag turtles and sharks in Cocos Island National Park, Costa Rica. We are seeking participants who are PADI or NAUI certified to join our expedition from August 19-31.

Three last minute spots are available with a $1,300 discount off the trip price, which totals $6,075 after fees. Price includes all meals & accommodations aboard the well-appointed Sea Hunter liveaboard, a working yacht. Costs may be tax-deductible in the US.

Turtle Island is a US-based nonprofit and has conducted successful trips for the past 8 years in partnership with the respected dive vessel operator, Undersea Hunter. Over the course of 12 days and 20+ dives, participants will catch and tag turtles, count sharks, and deploy underwater listening devices.

The goal of this expedition is to better understand the migratory movements of different species and to collect the necessary data to advocate for a marine protected swimway. Participants will gain valuable experience and be trained in acoustic telemetry tagging and other important conservation efforts.

See the attached flier for a testimonial from our director and for details about how to sign up!
