Yes, I am on 2.3.1 and have been trading emails with Nick...still can't get to work yet.
OK, If you were able to get the firmware update to work we can assume your USB is working, and you see the Cobalt showing connected. We are available to help Nick identify the issue.

Ok, Nick just emailed me as well. Af few questions that might help diagnose the issue:
Can you see all the dives in the Cobalt's onboard log, and do any of them show dashes for the dive time? This is a flag for bad data.
How many dives are you trying to download? At what sample storage rate (default is 30 seconds)?
What version of MacOS are you running?
Are you seeing the green "Connected" message when the Cobalt is set up for uploading dives?

Sounds like Nick may have some more diagnostics for you. Are you in the US, if we need to actually look at your hardware?

Thanks Ron,
I can see all of the dives in the log and none of them show dashes
4 dives including the factory dive
I am running os 10.9.2
I only see the green connected after i hit download dive on macdive, Nick indicated that I should be able to get it to light up by pressing enter on cobalt, but I can't get it to do that
Sorry, I am in Barbados

oh and 1 dive is 5 second interval, rest are 15

Nick is sending you a MacDive version with some extra diagnostics. Sounds as if all looks well in your dive log on the Cobalt. With the Cobalt 2 on the Mac, the green "Connected" message won't show up until the MacDive application establishes the connection, so that is normal. Hopefully something will turn up with the diagnostics.

I'm also down to test this MacDive 2.3.1 and Cobalt 2 with Firmware update...Mine shows "Connected!" in green after I click "Download", but MacDive sits at "Beginning Download" and spins. :(

Also, I couldn't find the Windows drivers (to use the PC software I've been using). Any chance somebody knows where I can find them? A quick Google search didn't turn up anything useful :(

You had no problem updating the firmware version to 2.13? Is that the version that shows in the System info?

It looks as if there may be an issue here- we're not sure where it is, as apart from these we haven't had any reports of problems downloading dives after installing the 2.13 firmware update.

The Windows drivers should install with the software, the Cobalt 2 shouldn't need anything additional. Have you determined you are unable to download dives on either Mac or Windows? We would like to work with you to determine where this is failing.

Please feel free to PM me with any more info or questions.

Actually, I spend about 30min after that post digging around here and found those WinUSB drivers for Windows...so Windows works fine.

I had no problems at all updating the firmware to 2.13, and it shows 2.13/2 in System Info.

Thanks!

So if I understand correctly, you can download dives from the Cobalt using Windows software, but MacDive still won't work?

Ron

I still have not been able to get it to work on my mac and do not have a windows computer.

I understand. We're interested in knowing for sure if Ara51tazz was able to download to Windows- that would help us know if this is specific to MacDive on some systems, or if there is possibly some issue with these Cobalts or the Cobalt firmware. Since most people aren't seeing any problem, it is difficult to sort out where the issue lies. If downloading works on Windows- or other Macs, for that matter- then we need to start looking for specific system issues or software conflicts.

That is correct...would you like me to try it 1 more time? (I only tried once :P )

I'll be glad to send any info you'd like to help test...and I'll PM contact info if you want to do a call or something.
