Train like you dive, dive like you train.

I swim laps for exercise at the pool 80% frog kicks. I use my slipstream fins and a pair of old 3mm low top shoes.

However, the shoes never dry out and they are an old pair that is past due for retirement.

I am looking for a recommendation for a stiff wide fin that will still give me a good leg work out but is closed heel so I don't need to wear booties in the pool anymore.

I swim a solid 45min+ of laps so needs to be a comfortable foot pocket.

Recomendations?

Barefoot it!!
Scubapro makes some rubber snorkelling fins that are pretty good for this. LINK
You could also go with some of the bungee'd barefoot fins like scubapro go, Aqualung storm, etc (Tusa and mares even have versions). I used the storms successfully in roatan while doing my prism2 training.
