I have a couple of questions. Did your friend have any fish with him with the spear gun? Exactly how did the GW push him to the surface? Did it hit him hard or nudge him up? When it came at him did it try anything or just nose at him? Shark will sometimes yaw at you to see how you react, did it do that to him?
Quite the amazing tail, and yes poor dad! Thanks for sharing.

Video is working now. Wow, that is a story that will be told for years!! Scary stuff...

Just a question, is there a reason you guys don't carry powerheads? I don't advocate indiscriminate bang-sticking of sharks/gators/anything. But, protected or not, I'm not ending up as a meal for anything. Seems like powerhead of reasonable caliber could have made short work of the situation....

Let the flaming begin.

Holy crapola! I think I would be staying out of the water for a while after that.

Glad you guys survived.

You took the words right out of my mouth!! I ditto this sentiment.

WOW! You just lived through one of our worst fears of meeting the Landlord when they are hungry. We to dive in a GW shark area known as the Red Triangle off the California Coast. My old neighbor was bitten many years ago.

Thanks for sharing your story and glad everyone is okay.

See, that's why I always brush my teeth before I dive. Great story! Now git back on that horse!

I am glad you all are OK.

It looks like your dad did all he could.

It is a truly amazing story.

Great video.

Again, I am so glad your all in good health.

Oh, man, I thought my training had taken me through about every kind of horrible thing that could happen to me on deco . . . but I never thought of that one! I'd have taken my chances with the bends, too. Glad you guys all came out okay.
