Linda Sanner, of Virginia, was with an instructor at Forty Fathom Grotto this
Sunday when she ran into trouble. She apparently became unconscious
at 118 feet and spiraled towards the surface. She was not breathing at that
point.

Jan Watts (who is a registered nurse and owns the Grotto along with
her husband, Hal Watts) gave the diver first aid until paramedics arrived.
They then took the diver to Shands (in Gainesville).

Full story at the Ocala Star Banner

Does anyone know what happened after that? Can't seem to find news on
her.

Typical news paper quoting to -
"It's a good thing we had a close call," Watts said. "She didn't run out of air. Each time we try to look for a cause. We look at what happened. We never prevent diving accidents - we minimize them."

Its as if something is missing between that part of the story where they are administering first aid on scene and after the patient left. It also makes it look like the dive site owner is happy about a close call. I guess that stuff isnt considered by the person writing.

I hope Linda Sanner is OK :(

Unfortunately, no further news. I've checked the Gainesville Sun
and the Ocala Banner for follow-ups, but nothing. Also, i sent an
e-mail to the reporter, but she hasn't written back.

I hope everything turned out ok.
