I wasn't implying that you would continue to do it... just as a general heads up to anyone reading the thread. I think that most people have pushed it at one time or another including myself 
. I am very conservative with it since I saw that happen to my friend. I forgot to mention that it was in only 20ish feet of water. We were only teenagers when it happened (long time ago ) and he was new to freediving. He knew how to properly equalize and I think it might have been his first time forcing equalization too. Perhaps the diving gods were not happy with us that day because they were unforgiving with him. I spoke to him about it earlier this year and he has not been diving since then and does not plan to.
