I use two 5 gallon buckets and a Stanley rolling tool chest.
After my last dive, I fill the two buckets with fresh water. My camera (with arm and stobe) goes in one. My regs, mask, snorkel, gloves and booties go in the other. They soak and "swish" on the way home, secure behind the driver's seat of my Xterra. (Before the photogs warn me about the camera, with the arm and strobe attached, the system fits snuggly in the bucket and it's NOT bumping up against the side or anything else that could cause a flood.)
When I get home, I hose everything off that was in the buckets and hang to dry. I hose off my BC, fins, weights and wetsuit and then soak them in the Stanley tool chest. I hose off my tank, too.
About the Stanley tool chest, I'm awaiting delivery of a DIY STA-like thing, from a metal shop teaching friend of mine. I'm going to attach it to the lid of the Stanley box, so I can strap my tank on top.
This weekend, I'm traveling to Catalina Island for a test of the new system.
