I recently obtained a couple Steel 100's that were in pretty beat up shape. Old chipped blue paint on them, still current vis and hydro. I used a chemcal stripper to get the paint off, checked for any rust spots on the tank itself. I then put a couple of coats of Rustoleum "galvanized surface" primer, then came in with a couple of coats of Rustoleum paint. You think this is sufficient?

I'm going to go ahead and get a hydro and viz now instead of when they're due.

You didn't say who made your tanks.
If they are pst they should be galvanized and wouldn't need to be painted.
I took the paint off all 6 of mine.
