OMG...wifey and I did our first pool dive yesterday and loved it! Just doing some of the basic skills (mask clearing, reg recovery, etc) was fun. (Ahhh the naivete of a new diver). Can only imagine what it will be like when we go someplace else and can see more than just the walls of the pool.

Yeah, just flying underwater itself is a hoot.

Does get better in the ocean, but try to remember everything you learned. :chillin6:

I had my first pool class on the 19th its amazing how fast class goes bye eh? We were in the pool for 2 hours and after all the freeflow things we did I was able to suck 1000lbs out of my tank.

Hey y'all, it's SUPPOSED to be fun. That's why most of us enjoy doing it. I realize that it can be pretty stressful in OW class, but it's still fun (or should be).

I remember the kick I got out of breathing underwater in the pool, and fortunately, I've never lost that sense of wonder.

DSAO!

Enjoyed the pool session
It only gets Better
Take your time, learn as much as you can, and dive safe
Good luck with your certs

1 more class down...1 to go...then we'll probably be looking for a warm water destination after the 1st of the year to do our check out dive...someplace in Florida would be perfect...so we've had no major issues w/ any of the tasks...wifey mask wasn't good so she had to get one w/ a purge valve, but other than that...no problems...

I can see how easily this sport is to get addicted too...

BRING ON THE OW DIVE!

Oh yes...yes it is!

You do your pool sessions and everything's totally cool. You do your ow's and suddenly everything is getting cooler and cooler.

Completely ruins the law of diminishing returns - every single time you do it, it gets better!

Glad you had so much fun. Let us know how it goes!
