I wasn't planning on diving today as I was out of town most of the weekend, but a 4p and dive buddy and I dove E. Dam - Good choice, one of the better dives in the past three months. Air temp was near 80 :14: Lake is still 9' down. Vis was 8-10' with no lights needed on the 80' wall or really on the 100' wall (OK we are talking very dim here though). We began our dive to the 3 big rocks - lots of fish here today (mostly the small fry, but a lot). We dove the entire 80' wall (10' here today - like diving on a full moon night w/o lights). Still small schools of small fish at these depths. We then dropped down to the 100' wall and yes there were still small fish among the stumps - O2 levels must still be reasonable this time of year at these depths. Just before deco, we edged up the wall and throught the forest and trench, past the angel statue and up to the 40' ledge - lots of schools of small sunfish here with the occasional small bass. From there it was up to a safety stop and exit. Dive time was 54 minutes and max depth was 98'. I was very pleasantly surprised at the improvement in vis in just a week even though we had rain!

Hey, no phone call?

That's good. Sounds like the lake is still coming up. O2 level up and fish will be coming back soon.
