Vis is finally back. We had two great dives today at E. Dam. four of us were diving. We began dive one with a swim along the rocks, lots of fish life. We dropped down to the plane and then headed downward to the wing tank @79' (today). We cruised over and did the entire 80' wall. You could dive it without lights today. Vis on the 80' wall was about 10'. We dove the entire 80' wall and dropped down to the first part of the 100' wall for a bit until approaching deco. We then swam upward along the slope , through the trench to the angel statue - again no lights needed here today. We turned south along the 35' ledge, past the gnome, horsehead, budda, and back down a bit to the pool filters and the three big rocks. From there is was back to the plane, bouyancy course and ski boat with a return along the rocks. Dive time 59 min and depth 100'.
Dive two was a reverse of dive one begining at the 35' ledge, angel statue, trench 80' wall, three big rocks, plane, ski boat and rocks on the dam. Dive two was 63 min dive time with max depth of 91'. Beautiful day.

Thanks for the report. What were the temps?

Water temps are from 81 at the surface to 58 degrees @ 102' Two more great dives today. The walls are most impressive in the afternoon (after 1pm) due to the sun angle. We had two great dives today: 102' for 54 min. dive time and 91' for 65min dive time. Great vis (10' + on the 80' wall). We dove the 80' wall without lights (recommended) - great twilight experience...

I lived in augusta for awhile back around 2000. I asked one of the rangers or w/e at the dam if it was worth diving and they said no. Basterds.
