What a crazy storm today. Some rain ('nough to muddy the river) but 50 mile an hour winds. Trees down, stoplights out, power outages. Personally I have limbs down in the yard, but this provides natural habitat for woodland creatures - my story and I'm sticking to it (I'm all over the "green" thing). We are going to dive E. Dam at 10am Sat. (Weather Channel hour by hour calls for some sun by then). Not sure what to expect, but what's life without a few mysteries....

Uh, vis 1-1 1/2 feet, surface to 68'. OK, you don't need vis to dive, but you need it to enjoy it.:crying: It could be the 50 mile an hour winds washing up on the low lake mud banks yesterday or the .3' increase in the lake level since yesterday (heard they were going to dump water from Hartwell -don't believe we had that much rain). Neptune's U/W Pumpkin contest could get very interesting (read: MEDIC!!!) if the vis doesn't improve in short order. Jeez, bad timing for a scuba junkie in need of a fix.:shakehead:

What about the river?

What about the river?

We did get a fair bit of rain yesterday. The color of the river as I dove across it on Hwy 28 was a nice shade of tan :shakehead::crying:

Filling up the jacuzzi.... depth only a few feet, but.... as a hard core dive junkie, "ya gotta do what you gotta do"

Actually, a couple of us are going to try the lake tomorrow to see if the vis has improved any at all. If it was wind related only it might settle some, we might get 5'. It is supposed to be sunny and 76 degrees.

Hey Andy, whats the water temp up there? 50's-60's?
