Winter diving already. Plus much additional H2O from all the rain. Get this... they are actually trying to lower the lake for repairs to the dam
any other year this means just reducing flow or stopping the flow due to drought, but with mega rain the river is running 4+ knots and waaay high (boat ramps are flooded). Vis is generally low 4-5' and cooling (mid 50s). Crazy fish stuff. All fish are negatively bouyant (due to low O2 content in the water?) and just sit on the bottom. Some nice bass and bluegill though. Today the local dive shop owner suggested we need a psych eval for diving in these conditions (nice guy though, just doesn't hear the voices we do - OK, someone in the area is still sane....
).
