I've picked up a decent 7mm wetsuit (Parkway Poseidon), used. It has/had a chest valve. The valve itself is missing and so hole is there in the chest all the way through. I assume I can use suit if I don't mind water coming in there. I assume I don't need to worry about replacing valve. Can I just patch or plug it, or just leave it open. I'm not sure how/why these valves were used anyway on these wetsuits. Can anyone fill me in. I didn't start out as a cold water diver. Any info, thanks. This is not a dry suit.

I guess it is a dry suit. "Jet Suit", from other posts. Is it worth fixing the valve? Can I dive it wet?

It it's a nice snug fit then plug the hole and go wet.

It may have been an older suit with oral inflation , much like a BC oral valve.

That is what I'm wondering as there is a broken inflator hose in the pile of stuff I got. Interesting. Thanks.
