Hello, all.

I'm Tom from Chattanooga, Tennessee. I stumbled across this bulletin board and thought I'd check in.

I'm an Open Water Diver, Certified through MDEA. My dive computer says I've got around 190 hours of dive time, mostly murkwater (creeks and rivers) with about 50 of that being saltwater diving.

My favorite dives to date have been Victory Reef in the Bahamas and the Statue in John Pennecamp State Park in Florida's Keys.

Stay wet!

Hi Tom, Welcome to the board. It's a great community of people sharing their passion for diving. Feel free to ask questions or answer those that you are knowledgeable about.

Welcome Aboard!!!

It's addictive, but who cares?!?!?

Good friends and good info. What could be better???

P.S. - If you have not already done so, please fill out your profile.

Welcome Tom. We are glad to have ya. I have been to the christ statue. The next you are down there try some of the shallow wrecks. City of Washington, Benwood. There is a lot of goog marine life on this. The wrecks are not in good conditions, but the goliath grouper or 8' nurse shark at the City of Washington makes of for it. Also get you AOW and see the Spegial Grove. A must See in the Keys.

Welcome to the board. My wife is from Chat. so you must be okay. ;)

Welcome to scuba board!! You'll love this site - great advice, great people, great ideas for places to dive... but beware the sarcasm.. it lurks..

cheers!
Jess

Thanks for the welcome!

I'm digging out my gear, getting it checked out, replacing what's damaged or lost, and eyeing the bathroom scales with distrust.

It's been a couple of years since I last dove and there don't appear to be any 'structural' differences in the sport. The most amusing thing so far is that people are putting their horse collar BCD's around their tanks and calling them 'wings'. :crafty:

Regards, and keep breathing.
