I was one of the first to do a Discover Scuba back in 1990 , Oahu Hawaii .
Their sign was similar in that it read " Even You , can discover Scuba "

When I got certified in 1975 not one person (including the instructor) had a pressure gauge or BC on our open water divesI did a discover scuba back in 1975 (also Oahu). It was a little different then - they led you around by your pressure gauge like a dog on a leash.
