We are down a diver (3 man team prefered for all "big" dives) so its cut back to a smaller dive, original called for two 80's we cut it back to two 40's, the dive is being limited by the amount of deco gas in the 40's.

Seems like 'stuff' just happens to plans at times....well at least you are moving forward on the project despite the team size.

Cool Rules !
Ya'll still headed to Arkansas Rick ? That should be fun !

I will be in the great state of Arkansas tomm. and part of Sunday!

Where do you put the beer when your bottle is in the ice?

What water temps do you dive in? Around here, below the thermocline, the temps are in the 40's, so as soon as you drop to depth, the gas is right back where you started. Not really, but the pressure would be about the same, so icing it up, would just get you back to even.

Of course, with O2, it might not be as bad since it would be used above the thermocline most of the year.

DIE has stage straps on his beer bottles so he can chill them below the thermocline. :D

I don't have a booster so.....

Fill, cool, then fill back up, when the tank comes back up to room temperature you know have more PSI in your 40 then your higest pressured bank.

I squeezed in an extra 300 psi by doing this

- for when every PSI counts :) if I hand't done this I would had to have hauled an 80 to get my reserve on my deco up to proper volume.

Anyway I had my doubts on how well this would work and since it did the trick I figured I'd post it.
Technically, isn't that squeezing more gas in the bottles?:)
