Cheap way to download logs to pc for the puck

Hi
I have a mares puck dc I bought new last year. Logged like 30 dives in Bonaire.

What's the cheapest method in downloading that into my pc?

The actual cable is pricey right?

I'm diving again in a month maybe will do like 10 dives.... in Big island.
Don't wanna lose my logs lol.

Pls advice. Thanks

I ordered one from Germany for 38 Euros.

Worked out cheaper than the OEM one.

No problems downloading with it.

I've also used the smartinterface cable mentioned above. Works perfectly. For an electronic logbook I use DivingLog, which can import your dive data directly from the Puck using the smartinterface cable. One issue I've noticed is that the cable only works if it is plugged directly into the computer. If you plug it into a USB hub (even a powered one) it will not work.

I do not think so....the cables certainly look different and the chart at the above link does not mention the Puck Pro.

Just ordered the one Ken referred.

So using the mares puck wrist 's manual I can easily connect this cable? Is it pretty straight forward? Lil' nervous since I dont want to break the water proof seal!

Connecting the cable does not involve opening the battery compartment.

I think I had more problem with the Mares software than anything else.

Smart Interface is the way to go. standard shipping got it from germany to BC, Canada in just 4 days! it works flawlessly (i use it on my smart phone and tablet using DIVEMATE from the Android PLAY store, with an OTG cable adapter) with this setup I can see all the details of my dive including a graph of my depth, temp and time, and it also acts as a logbook, uploads to DropBox and you can get dive buddy signatures, photos and all that stuff.


Added bonus, Smartinterface included a pack of scubadiver gummybears!
don't use Mares' software. it is not that great IMO. esp. if you want to digitally log your dives.
the PUCK is a nice computer though.

smart interface also has a whack of other cables available too.

forgot to mention, my PUCK seemed to have issues when I was using DivingLog, and A) chewed up the PUCKs battery (always carry a spare! and a Toonie is the perfect tool to open the housing) B) it defaulted the settings or something, which I failed to notice during a multi dive day - it wasn't storing saturation data from previous dive! ALWAYS CHECK YOUR COMPUTER AT THE BEGINNING OF A DIVE!

Hello All.
I finally got the cable by mail! Now with DivingLog I don't know what buttons to click to download for mares. I tried Dive pal, It is user friendly . When I tried it the light in the cable won't go green (or red) . Then realized that I need the driver s/w from the smartinterface website. I tried that ...downloaded few drivers from them and still doesn't work .They didn't send any cd etc.

Can some one help? I need to download before my dive trip to Hawaii in 4 days!
