Can some one please point me in the direction of a bracket or set of tank bands for a 40 cubic foot pony, that not going to set me back 50+ $$$$$

Im pretty upset that an item that requires almost no water proofing and has 0 mechanical capabilitys, literally static functionality can be priced at 70-100 dollars. The amount of marital in some of this items isent even worth 10 bucks at a scraps yard. :banghead:

Just set it up with stage/sidemount rigging. Job done, problem solved, less money spent.

Im trying to eliminate cluster in my front. i have no problems with the side mount. Its just to messy and limiting for some activity's.

Properly configured and trimmed, they won't clutter your front. That's why this configuration is used by cave and wreck penetration divers

without a doubt, i however am a basic diver that only slings the tank from time to time. and as u can probably see from hat other thread i have open, im thinking of using it more. i dont have the gear need, my bc does not have the proper clips to have a properly configured side ridge. it dangles a little low on the back and i manage with the weight compensation as best i can. ive been doing this for when i go out solo with no problems. but i think i would much rather have it just thrown on my back until i can afford/need the $300 BCD

Sew one of these to the bottom of your BCD:

Or add a crotch strap and fit two of these (overlapping, d-ring each side)

If your jacket BCD is already letting you down through lack of configuration flexibility, I can't help but think that throwing more cash into another inflexible option (pony mount) is just more good money chasing bad money.

You can sling a 40 DIR style for about $10.00. It stays out of the way and you can donate it to a diver in need and still remain independant.
