Dv I believe that when it is time I'll use a front load washer. I'll probably hang dry to keep the loft down. Fluffing would be counter productive.

Instructions from Ron:
Need to wash on gentle cycle- mild soap- woolite works. On drying tumble dry low heat- setting on gentile. Hanging it out generally leaves the inner layer damp. Needs to be hung out both inside and then the outside. I generally go with the dryer on gentle cycle- low heat.

I'll likely hang it to dry as well.

I own the 100g and 200g versions. Very functional! All you gain from the $200 Bare is the ripstop outter layer, more custom sizing and pockets. For the same thermal protection I spent $77 instead of the $200.

DSchulte, do you dive the 100g in the warm temps? I've got an email out to Rondel about sizing on a 100g. I'm tired of waiting for my LDS to get in the lavacore pants. TIA.

Just ordered one of his 100g suits. I'm planning to use it in temps 60-70. Of course I have no idea if it will be too warm. Ron said it was a new product for him, but he does consider it to be a warmer water undergarment.

I've got three of his undergarments (I might have mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I'm too lazy to go back and look this morning....lol). I like them all and plan to get the 100g if Ron can find one in my size (XLS). He is looking now.

Anyway, I'll report back in if I get one. :)

Safe dives,

Cyp

Same Same, I just ordered the garment yesterday when he didn't have 3XLS. I hate being fat. Yes I'm on a diet, as always.

and yes he said it was a summer garment. I will probably be similar to the Hollis 100g. (I hope).

If it comes in this week I may try to dive it this w/e at LLM.

I like the add feature for threads. It's pretty neat. LOL

Well my shipment is screwed up somehow, I won't get it this w/e. Thanks FEDEX.

miracles never cease. I got my garment Friday and dove it on a night dive, and again on Saturday. I wore my wicking pants and lavacore vest under it. I forgot my wicking top so I suffered through it. I didn't really need the top for warmth, but for moisture wicking. Once again Ron puts out a quality garment. I took the garment down to 50* with no issues whatsoever. I did notice that the reduced loft mean I could feel the bubble actually move around. It felt like I had fat bags on the backs of my arms. LOL

Here is my description from the top down.

  • Collar is comfortable with no issues.
  • right front zippered pocket, good quality zipper
  • Double zipper on the front, good quality zipper
  • mesh on the left bicep and left forearm for venting
  • neoprene cuffs (really gauntlets)
  • quilt is not the traditional quilt, the quilting on this suit is straight up and down lines.
  • two waist pockets, fleece lined
  • legs are tapered so there is no fear of the leg riding up.
  • elastic strap stirrups

It felt like this garment was light enough that it would not be a sweat issue on the surface. I like it and it seems like a great value.

I'll be taking it to get the arms and legs shortened. This garment is a BUY!:D

Ya rondel missed the final number in my zip and I was delayed two days myself. You will like it. At the minimum you have a 14 return limit.
