is the Antarctica good for 40 to 45F....or the thinner once..I just don't like bulkey UG...anyone?

I thought it was fine around 50, but that's as low as I cold as I could find. It's somewhat bulky, of course, and I'm not sure it's significantly warmer than the 3-layer quilted, which I don't have (yet?).

Have the antartica and dove it in the straights of Macinac this past summer. Very warm. No problems.

I got one of the Antarctica UG. Although I've only dove it in 50degree water, but I do believe you can comfortably take it in 40 - 45Fwater as well.

Antarctica UG is same as the DUI UG 400 in thickness or thinner?

Ron (the seller) told me the Antartica was 25% thicker than a Polartec 300 if that helps.

I'm guessing the Antarctica is thicker since its made of double layer of 320gm/sqm fleece, while the DUI 400 is made of thinsulate 400gm/m2 and cost $370 more:)

I just ordered a Pinnacle Evolution II dry suit and am wondering about my undergarments. What is recommended for Florida Cave Country? After looking at all these "sho nuff" cold waters I feel like a sissy for even thinking about a wet suit much less a dry suit. Maybe I ought to just man up and dive nekkid. What do y'all recommend?

Thanks

I picked up a thin set (4 way flex) for forty something dollars just for the N Fl caves. For the price he's asking, it's convient to have a thick warm set for the frigid north and a thinner set for the balmy caves. Haven't tried the thin set yet but if it works like the thick set, I'll be happy.

Oh, and the drysuit - that's because you need the redundant lift. Think about it, most cave divers think nothing of 104's or lp 121's. Tanks are a means to an end and more is better.
