Any updates a few months on?

I'm considering getting one of these and would like to know how they are holding up? In particular I'm interested in hearing if anyone has had a flood with one of these on and how much warmth, if any, they retained when wet.

Cheers,

The two-layer one I dive had a waist seam start to separate at my back (where a belt would cross my spine if I were wearing normal clothes), but that was trivial. I haven't had a flood, but both of mine have been quite damp after some hot-and-cold dives (40°F at depth, >85°F in the shallows) and they weren't chilly on the second dive.

What kind of suit, ClayJar?

I need thermals good down to 45F or so, under a shell suit. The suit's on order--right now I use a thin Polartec jumper under a compressed neoprene suit. I doubt that the garment will be warm enough when the new suit gets here, so I have been looking at these...

I dive a thin Bare Trilam ATR Light. Down below 45°F was like a nice cool spring day. Not quite all the way to "toasty", but close enough to be quite comfortable for as long as the dive lasts. (The two-layer and the 4-way antarctic are both nicely warm.)

I search the entire thread and don't see who this supplier is. The e-bay link is dead. Can anyone tell me who's importing this product? Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen any link to a website or any contact information.

Thanks in advance.

I went to ebay and searched Antarctica undergarment.

I just got myself a quilted 3-layer and single layer fleece (and returned the single layer) - observations (before diving)

1-Quilted 3-layer does feel warmer than the single layer but not significantly so. Still it's a little tidier and looks better :D
2-They run a little big, I had to go one size lower. The single layer fleece is especially loose and stretchy, even with one size lower I had parts of it bunch up (although very little so it wasn't a problem).
3-OTOH, it's quite less bulky than the 3-layer quilted. The 3-layer is a tight fit in the crushed neoprene drysuit legs but should be fine in a shell.
4-Quilted 3-layer has has vents right at the arm pits which help a lot with movement.
5-The seller Ron is an absolute pleasure to deal with!

I have the single layer fleece. It's not very sexy,,,actually it makes me look like the 5th TeleTubby,,,but it's warm. I did 105 minutes in 41F last weekend. I had on base layer polyester themals as well(thin) and a DUI trilam. I find it warmer than my quilted DUI suit but I don't know the weight of that as it's used. The giant pockets are getting chopped out and sewn shut this winter. It takes much less lead to sink the fleece than the DUI quilted but that makes sense.

PS The ankle cuff on my single layer fleece is very bulky and always seems to rub my ankle bone. I had the same problem with 200g DUI gray booties. YMMV

Man, I know I need one of these since I just switched to a shell suit, but I cannot figure out which one to get!
