Cheap dive watch for 50$?

you can get an Aquatech at walmart for about $8. The band is craptastic though. Spend a few bucks & replace it with a velcro band, also available at WM.

I've got a Timex Ironman, 9+ yrs, can't kill the thing even trying - though I've been through a few bands. It tags along as a backup. True - Timex takes a lickin' & keeps on tickin'.
I also had a similar Casio for several years and it did well too. I ended up giving it to a boat crewmember in Mexico a couple years ago. I saw in a friend's recent vacation photos that the crewmember was still wearing it.

I have a Casio G Force, been wearing it daily, including diving, for over 5 years.

Bought it before I found out about the cheap ones. The G Force was $40+ & it too, needed a different band for wearing over a wet suit.

I've had both watches to at least 115 FSW bunches of times with no problems.

Hi, I've been looking at dive watch and they're usually waaaaay too expensive for me (200$ range). I remember my instructor telling us a regular timex watch would be fine as long as you don't press any buttons. I just want something to keep track of time, nothing fancy.

Now, if the depth limit on these watch was right a 25m watch would be fine but somehow I doubt these are really accurate.

Any tips?

Ask & you shall recieve...this is the only type of watch I've used for divng since the late 80's, has all the the same qualities as a G shock ie stop watch, alarm, countdown timer, push all buttons UW etc & with the 200 meter resistance..Have NEVER flooded one etc after over a 1000 dives with them(I'm old fashioned & carry a watch & use the stopwatch on every dive)......Have owned about 5 of them, just buy a new one when the battery/band give out--almost disposable @ this price....lol.....under 30 bucks delivered to your door step

.....I'm using a Poseidon watch......bought it a couple years ago......don't remember the exact price.......under $ 150 though....rated to 500 meters (1600 ft.)...I've taken it to a little past 150', no problems.....it's a very simple watch...no buttons, no alarms, just 2 old fashioned hands on a bright easy-to-see yellow background...just tells time/date.

There are lots of options on ebay. Like others I have used a Timex Expedition without incident. I also have this Casio which I have taken on dives without issue. You can rotate the bezel to your "time in" and then press the chrono button before you go down and time the length of your dive. It also looks somewhat stylish when you're topside.
