Hi Everyone! I posted this on the Cayman board also.

We're headed to Cayman in late August. I can't find decent airfare out of BWI. So far, the cheapest I've seen it, for 3 people, is ~$1,500.00, (that's the total). I've been searching on Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, etc, which, incidentally, don't seem to find any better prices than I do on my own.

American Airlines is the cheapest right now, and Delta and Air Jamaica are the most expensive. Last week, the prices on AJ jumped $472.00!! I realize it's 5 months out and prices fluctuate. I'm afraid if I book now, that the prices will drop. Any advice, tips or suggestions, that you Cayman experts can give, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I am heading to GC in March. US Airways tickets from IAD, connect in Charlotte (CLT), to GC are $388.00 with $95.30 in taxes and fees. Choice for me because I am close, shortest flight time frame, and I avoid Miami Airport. Hope this helps. John

$1,500 for 3 is not bad. I paid more from NY last year.

Thanks! I check every airline that flys out of BWI, every day.. My goal is $1,200.00. With the current ups, & downs, of the oil market, it's tough. I'll keep checking, and hoping, that it drops close to my goal. Thanks everyone!

Try flying to Miami, Orlando, Chicago or Tampa and switching to Cayman Airways. Might be cheaper

seems like prices rise and fall like the tide...

I bought tix to jamaica for May a month ago for $380 on delta

last week they went down to $274 -- I did get a credit -$25 change fee.

now they are back up to $375.

Try Spirit out of DCA - $119+ each way.

keep an eye on cheaptickets.com and try some of the travel agents that are consolidators. They often buy blocks of seats at a discount and resell them.
