Chat Room login issues

I am having problems logging into the chat. I get told I have an invalid username/password.

Try clearing your cookies. The login is passed automatically, so there's really no reason why it wouldn't work.

No dice, I have tried both firefox and safari, just freshly installed java update.

It's because you have no email address in your profile. This is because the email address you had provided previously was bouncing, and the system automatically removes bounced email addresses. If you update your profile with a valid email address, your account should be updated (it takes a few minutes for the system to update once entered) and the issue should resolve.
