I work in Key Largo. I have been out every day this week and have had amazing dives. Morning or afternoon dives are the same. Mother nature does not have a preference when it comes to rain. Rain tends to move quickly through the area. Yesterday late afternoon I had an amazing dive on the Spiegel, better viz than the morning and absolutely no current.
Come out have fun and enjoy. Each day and dive holds its own adventure.

I have went in with pretty sunshine and 3' wave action. I came up to pelting rain and 6' seas. It is kinda scary when you can only see 30' at the surface and can not see the boat.... somehow they have always found so far.

I have found that some of my best dives in 24 years have been because there was a slight overcast or during a summer shower. The slight overcast reduces glare underwater and actually can make the visibility BETTER because it is not enhancing all the particulate matter floating in the water.

Either way, you are going to be wet anyways.

Question for the day.......

Do fish go in under an overhang when it rains?

Thanks. Hope Tuesday doesn't get canceled. Looking to dive the Guy Harvey. Maybe also the "tugs" on Thursday.
