The Hyde. Further out in the Gulf Stream the water was 74. U 352 is several miles further out which may be why it was warmer.

just fyi, Wilmington is about 3.5 hrs. drive from Charleston.
If you stay on 17 the whole way, it takes you thru all the beach towns also. One evening we got stuck in traffic in North Myrtle for probably an hour - dinner theaters and Broadway on the Beach nearby.
