I'm a Fish!
Ok, its toward the end of the week so I figured I would start this debate. :D

How would one OFFICIALLY verify if the Charles Price is in US waters or Canadian waters? It seems for the past two years, there has been lots of debate on this as the customs requirements changed a few years ago. The only thing I keep hearing is the debate and no one has been able to provide an OFFICIAL stance.

Thanks All!

The 504 foot long Charles S. Price lies 11.4 miles southeast of Lexington, MI. The large steel freighter was built in Lorain, OH in 1910 and went down during the great storm November 8-11, 1913. Loran 30799.6/49622.5 GPS 43 degrees 09.174'/082 degrees 21.771' It lies turtled in 47 to 72 feet of water and is an intermediate-advanced dive so Chris Kohl wants to know why a big time tech diver like yourself even puts the gear on for that measly depth. Seems like a waste of the vodoo gas to me. You could probably just snorkle it.:dontknow::dontknow::dontknow:

Sounds American to me.:42:

I appreciate the history lesson. However, that still isn't definitive on the wrecks location in relation to the US waters versus Canadian waters.

I will however make sure I let Chris Kohl know when I am out diving her! I figure I would keep things easy and dive her with my spare-air. I figure I should get a good 70 to 80 minutes off of it before I hit deco limits. :mooner:

You didn't see the American flag in my previous post? You are such a bone.

Those numbers put it half way between Madison Wisconsin and the Mississippi river. Definetely USA and on dry land to boot!

Pulled from Cris Kohl enlarged 2nd edition.

His numbers for the Atlanta off Sheboygan Wisconsin place the wreck near Cleveland Ohio. If I don't know the source or if it's a Cris Kohl set of numbers I do google earth to see if they are at least in the ball park. 1000 feet off I can deal with. 500 miles is a different kettle of fish. LOL

Yep, this really pi$$es me off that there are a number of really bogus numbers published in the book. I own the first edition (got it many years ago), and had a couple issues with the numbers here in the eastern end of Lake Erie - thought it likely was publishing errors. I bought the second edition recently, thinking it might have been corrected. Basically its a rip-off if you are buying it for the coordinates...... :shakehead:
