  • SCAVENGER HUNT IN TEXAS!!
Come join us one and all for food, fun, diving and best of all for a worthy cause, Cook Childrens Medical Center. The benefit is for 17 month old Haley Franks, daughter of Johnathan & Stacey Franks, owners of SCUBADIVETEXAS.COM of Cleburn, Texas.

Young Haley suffers from congestive cardiomyopathy. She is in desperate need of a heart transplant or Haley may not see her next birthday.

Heart transplants in children are still a relatively new procedure, being conducted in Dallas only since 1989. The research and technology benefit all children, along with the co-efforts of Cook Childrens Medical Center and Dallas Childrens Medical Center of Texas.

The time is now and the need is clear. Join us at Clearsprings Scuba Park, located in Terrell, Texas on Saturday, September 8th, 2001. A special thank you goes out to Robert & Debbie Cameron for donating their park for this cause. There is a $40.00 donation per person. This will cover park fees, food, special activites, prizes & a free t-shirt comemorating the event.

For directions, call Debbie Cameron at Clearsprings Scuba Park at (972) 524-6820 or visit http://www.geocities.com/clearspringsscubapark/ For more information of how you can help contact Harold Barnard at Sand & Sea Scuba in Dallas at (972)690-DIVE(3483)

This event is sponsored in part by the SCUBADILLO DIVE CLUB of Dallas/Ft. Worth.

Already had that one on my calendar TM.
Can't beat it, a fun day of diving and eating and all to help a child to boot. :)

After all the talking we did about Clear Springs today, I guess we should have worked out some plans. Must of been water on the brain!

I'll be there. Let me know what time & I'll meet you out there BLTN. (ya know yer cool when folks call ya by your initials)

Anyone else planning on going?

You guys are gonna ruin my dove season making me go dive.

If I can get a pass from Michelle I'll be there. She's working saturday so I'll have to arrange a sitter. Grandma be able too.

Tom

Hey Texass and Tom,

As for me I am planning on being there bright and early, probably 8:00am when the gate opens. I have a feeling it's going to be really crowded in no time at all. The Scubadillos are planning to be out in force and no telling how many other dive clubs are pushing this one, due to the good cause.

Tom, the doves'll wait, not too many dive weekends left this season, just gotta set those priorities :).

:bonk:

I can't dive on saturday. I am on call starting wednesday for a week. ;-0 I'm not allowed to get that far from Plano. Its also kinda hard to hear a pager underwater. I hate to miss this one.

Yall have fun.

Tom

Just set that pager on vibrate and slip it inside your wetsuit! ("Yeah, baby....beep me again!") Well, not that low in your suit...

I'll miss that one since I'll be swinging through the oil rigs with Corsair. But I'll be thinking of you folks as I swim through the warm salt water.
