Too pricey unless its Nitrox.

what does everyone think about being charged double to fill my new hp 100 tank, the regular price is 8 dollars for alum 80s,so its 16 dollars for the 100, i could almost understand it for a 130 cf tank,by the way i bought the tank there.:11:

Those are grounds to buy a compressor! :)

Locally one shop holds the line for any single. $2.25 with a 100 fill card.

Another is at $4.00 on the card but is threatening to only do HP for the single fill price of $5.00.

$16 is insane.

Pete

I just paid $10.00 a fill for Nitrox in my three HP100's. Air is $5.00 a fill.

Hey, DI . . .

What are the initials of that shop????

I bet I can guess . . .

I like paying by the cubic foot and NOT a flat rate for a fill.

Yeah Cave Excursions by the cubic foot nitrox is hard to beat. Air fills aren't measured but I think they are around $4/fill. $4-5/fill for air seems to be the norm around here - less if you buy a bunch at many places. Never been charged a different price on my 80s at 3000PSI versus my 100s at 3442 for air.

It cost me $16 to fill both my HP100 with 32% at CE the other day. They were less than have full.

My LDS doesn't even *do* HP fills. Trying to get close to 3300psi in an AL100 (that they sell) or "neutral 80" (that they also sell) is basically impossible. That said, they don't charge extra to fill an "AL90" (i.e. an AL100 filled to 3000psi).

$16 for Air sounds really expensive. There must not be too many dive shops in your city.
Around here they charge the same price for a Al80 or HP100, most places can go to 3442psi, some can't. Here in SoCal we are pretty lucky to have so many dive shops to choose from within a 20 mile area.
