The boater who killed a snorkeler off of the LI South Shore this summer has been charged with second degree manslaughter. Prosecuters say his high rate of speed near other boats was reckless even though he was not in a "no wake" zone.

Hopefully it will make boaters a bit more cautious. Over the years, the habits of boaters and drivers in general on Long Island have become atrocious. I feel like if my death has anything to do with diving, it's going to happen on the road going to or from the dive site. The second most likely scenario is being decapitated by a JetSki :rolleyes:
 
I used to go to a gym on 22, widely known as one of the worst roads in the country.

The BIG joke was you're putting this time in to stay in shape, but you'll probably die on your way to the gym!
