So my long awaited Channel Islands liveaboard is finally almost here (next week). I've never done a liveaboard, or dived the CHannel Islands, so doubly excited.

For those that have done it, how many dives per day do people usually do? I should add that I am diving wet.

It depends on the boat and duration of the trip. In any event, you will have a great time!

Dave

I am doing a 4 day trip on the Conception. Really looking forward to it. I've never done this much diving, so not really sure what to expect. I am hoping my SI's are sunny and warm. Oh, and that I get buddied up with someone decent.

4 to 6 dives a day.

Sleep hard. dive until you drop.

Forecast looks great. I’ve not dove with them yet but Truth Aquatics has a great reputation so look for a good time. I suspect you should get 4 or 5 dives a day weather and sea conditions permitting.

Wow, 4-6 a day, even diving wet? That I really look forward to!! I guess having a sunny warm SI really helps. Most of my diving is Monterey. Which means that usually my SI is a little chilly. Which means that my second dive is not nearly as fun :)

I did a Channel Islands liveaboard on the Conception.... We did 3-4 dives a day, and then a night dive... Between the diving and the eating, people were usually too tired to do any more dives than that..
:)

Yup, if you can take it :) I did my first Truth Aquatics trip wet, didn't make 5 dives a day. Second time, dry, I still didn't make 5 :)

Truth runs a great operation. You'll have a blast

Get one of these boat coats, pricy but they really work great!

Dave

You guys are getting me very excited. Beyond dive gear, any 'nice to have' stuff for the liveaboard?

EDIT: Got a nice boat coat from truwest.
