I have an opportunity to get an OMS IQ slightly used. But it is a size L/XL. I am a M/L. Is it possible to adjust the L/XL? I believe it's mainly the waist and chest sizes.
Thanks.

I'll also post this in the BC section.

Well, I am sure not near an XL. More near Large than Med.

it should be fine especially if you wear thick undergarments or a very thick wetsuit

I wouldn't use OMS gear if you gave it to me for free.

Questions about OMS? Do a search.

Okay, I'll bite. What's wrong with them? And a search of OMS on this site gives nothing.

The adjustability of this unit is very limited, despite suggestions to the contrary. As Diver0001 mentioned, definitely try it on before purchasing. Is the IQ Pack something you particularly want? Or, does it happen to be an available used unit? It should have to be a VERY low price, and a perfect fit, to attract serious interest.

OMS has a variegated reputation, with some supporters and more than a few detractors. The detractors point to: 1) some 'interesting' business practices, including at times spotty customer service, 2) massively overbuilt gear, 3) some shoddy gear. I have two OMS backplates, and I like them a lot. So, experiences do vary, and they have varied (? improved) with time.

OMS has the worst customer service in the industry. Granted, you aren't going to need a lot of customer service for a backplate, but in principle I avoid everything OMS. They do not stand by their products, their right hand doesn't know what their left hand is doing, they refuse to provide much in the way of customer service at all , and they present a "I don't give a ****" attitude.
