Change in weighting with BP/wings.....?

Just curious.....is it typical upon switching from a jacket BC to a BP/wings set-up that a diver would use less overall weight (weight belt, plate negative buoyancy, etc.) due to better air flow (i.e., lower chance for trapped air) in a wing?
 
If the backplate/wing is less bouyant overall than your
jacket BC you prolly can remove the difference.

That will depend on what material is the plate, how much
lift is the wing.
