I just got back from a trip to Mexico last week and had the pleasure of doing 5 cenote dives with Nicolas from Cenote Experience. On Monday the first dive was Angelita, which was very surreal. You decend down about 90 feet of fresh water and through 4 foot a cloud of sulphur to clear salt water.
There are tree limbs sticking out of the sulphur cloud like something out of a horror movie. At the end of the dive we went through a small swim thru. The second and third dives were at Dreamgate. We had to lower the gear down with a pulley. It was full of Stalactites and Stalagmites. During the third dive we surfaced in an air pocket which had a couple of bats in it. Thursday we did 2 dives at Chac Mool. The first dive was in Kukulkan which was "rocky". We were swimming thru the halocline most of the time. The second was Chac Mool which was very "rocky" and had a few small stalagmites. We surfaced in a small air pocket and the ceiling was covered with small stalactites. Nicolas gave a very detailed dive briefing and was very safety minded. He picke me up and dropped me back at my resort. He provided lunch, juce and water.
I would recommend Nicolas to anyone who wants a great cenote dive experience.
