I'm looking to do a day of Cenote diving during our week on Cozumel, and thought it might be cool to get a small group (3 or 4 plus me) together for the day. I've done the day-trip with Diablo Divers (Dennis) before and it was great. Pick-up at the ferry dock, some great diving, taco's for lunch, then back to Coz. Last time I dove with them we did 3 tanks- 1 at The Pit, and 2 at Dos Ojos/Bat Cave. We'll be there Sun 11/14 to Sun 11/21, so Wed, Thurs, or Fri looks good to me. Interested?

I think that 4 plus you would be too many; aren't those tours limited to 4 customers per guide?

Wasn't the pit a hoot? I regret that I didn't think to get any pics of the opening, looking down on that drop, looking up at the first guy to help hoist the gear, or even that scenic view down the way. I need to go back sometime. Whichever caves you do tho, I'm sure it'll be great diving. Sorry I won't be there.

This thread would last longer in the Coz Trips sub forum if you want it moved there, and be more appropriately placed I think. Most divers will want to know how much the day costs too, probably...??

Here is a shot I got of the bones at 140 ft...

DandyDon is right; the rule is no more than 4 divers per full cave certified guide. So you'll need to either limit your group size, or get more than one guide.

OK, thanks. Make that "1 to 3 + me". The last 2 times I dove with them it was just me one day, and the others it was 2+me. I was actually thinking more about room in the Suburban, and had forgotten about the rules...

Yea, the Pit was pretty neat for a "pit", bones and all. That layer of white-whateveritwas that looked like the bottom until you swim through it was very cool. The walk/drive in for that last hundred yards was pretty good too!

I should have taken my camera in, but it had been acting up and I didn't want to push it by going beyond the housings ratings...

I think the standard pricing is $125 for 2 tanks.

The layer of hydrogen sulfide bacteria? I thot it was purplish, but it may vary - altho I don't know that the conditions change there. Maybe it was me?

Saw some of that in Eden too. Happens when vegetation falls into the cenotes.
