Hi. We are planning a family vacation to Cancun last week of August. My daughter and I are certified divers and were thinking about diving the cenotes, but my nondiving wife, other younger daughter, and son might want to snorkel the cenotes. Does anyone have any experience with combined snorkel/dive trips and or do you know of a dive shop in Cancun that caters to both? Thanks for the input.

Hey Freewillie,

Yes we do Cavern trips for divers and snorklers and we could if you are interested combined that with the ruins of Tulum. Thats optional.

We are located in the Hotel zone of Cancun we include round transportation entrance fees. equipment and a nice lunch in a mexican restaurant.

I just got back from a week with "Beyond Diving" and apart from some amazing cenote trips we also did a combined dive/snorkel trip with my wife and daughter and had an amazing time. Erik (the owner) dove with us and made sure everyone had a safe and fun time.

You can snorkel Gran Cenote. I didn't snorkel it (I dove it) but I saw many
others snorkeling it. No doubt you could all go out there as a group on the
same day and the divers could dive and the snorkelers could snorkel and
come back together. It's near Tulum and over and hour drive from Cancun
but I bet it's easily doable as a day trip. Just Google up some of the
Cancun dive shops and email them what you want to do. If they can
bring you there as a diver they could probably bring your whole family
there for a combined dive/snorkel trip.

Grande Cenote in Tulum is a good choice. Another one to consider is Dos Ojos.

Hello FreeWillie,
We can provide a private tour for your family, a guide for diving, a guide for snorkeling, and if you wish to customize it and go anywhere in the area, it is up to you, since it is diving, we do suggest sticking to one activity, nice long dives, but we can do as you wish.

If you would like to know more, please click on the website at the bottom and shoot us an email.

HAPPY DIVES
