The guys at underwatertimes guys found a few completely fabricated stories there. They started a thread with a bounty for verifying that the authors of the fabricated stories existed. They found of course the names used on the site to publish original stories under are fake too.
Don't get me wrong, the media has been reporting scuba accidents more often since a few high profile cases. These guy(s) can just hit news.google.com every morning and copy and paste the stories they find (you'll notice many of the latest stories are attributed at the end of the story to the news agency they were stolen from). Many stories they post are real and are just copied and pasted from real news sources.
Its not just fabricated stories either, its deceptive ones. One of their anti-shark feeding stories was about how a man had died on a shark dive. He was not however killed by sharks or any such thing. They make quite a few of these sin-of-omission stories and I think someone spotted one the other day where they tried to make it look like that liveaboard that was in the press for bad air had another accident.
