Most of the ones I've seen were this type.

The species pictured is the Hawksbill Turtle Eretmochelys imbricata and is fairly common throughout the Cayman area.

Identification is easily made based upon location of sighting, and distinctive shape of the head. Only the Hawksbill, Green, Loggerhead, Leatherback, and Olive Ridley are seen in the Caymans. All but the Hawksbill and Green are very rarely sighted in Cayman.

I have to agree that the large majority of turtle sightings in Cayman are Hawksbills. The 95% figure that CJ's estimate may be too conservative. I don't think the Turtle Farm releases have significantly impacted turtle sightings here.
