I think that the Cayman Islands do a good job of preserving their culture and history despite the pervasive tourist influence. Each of the 3 islands has a museum and they are all worth visiting. Grand Cayman has the largest museum but the small museums on Brac and Little are nice to experience.

We stopped at the Brac museum during our recent vacation and found it very interesting. They have a room dedicated to the devastating hurricane of 1932 including verbatim accounts from the survivors. It is truly amazing what those people endured and their determination to survive and rebuild.
